After her studies in Sion (Aline Baruchet class) and Vienna (Heinz Medjimorec class) Cornelia Venetz rapidly became involved in the musical life in Valais.
She teaches at the Cantonale Conservatory in Sion where around 20 young graduate pianists follow her classes and contribute to the growing artistic life in Valais.
She accompanies many musicians and choirs. Very active in the chamber music field (Trio Malinconia, Labandànéon, guest pianist for the Modigliani quartet, etc.) she often guides young musicians in this very special area. She is also official accompanist at the Conservatory for violins, flutes and singing.
Her activity as a soloist has led her to various orchestras, such as pro Musica from Bern, La Camerata from Geneva, the Sion Conservatory orchestra, the Orchestra-Gesellschaft from the Upper Valais, as well as the St Maurice College Orchestra.
She is also president of the “Charratmuse” Association, an association which manages the musical programme for the “Petit Salle de Musique” in Charrat.
