Konstantin Scherbakov:
renowned international pianist. Performances at major festivals,
including Lucerne and Salzburg, concerto performances with more than
70 orchestras and concert tours in 32 countries. Over 35 CD’s
recorded for EMI Classics, Naxos and Marco Polo. Numerous awards,
such as Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, Cannes Classical
Award etc. Konstantin Scherbakov was a graduate of the Moscow
Tschaikovsky Conservatory where he studied with and later assisted
the legendary professor Lev Naumov. Since 1998 he has been professor
of the Zurich Arts University. Winner of the 1. Rachmaninoff
Competition in Moscow and prizewinner of prestigious international
competitions (Geza Anda, Busoni, Montreal etc.). Jury member of many
international competitions, such as ARD in München, Busoni in
Bolzano, Lizt in Weimar etc.
