First violin in the opera and philharmonic orchestra Teatro alla Scala in Milan, F. de Angelis, after having studied in Naples with G. Leone (a member of the famous Quintetto Chigiano), entered the Tibor Varga Academy in Switzerland at a very early age; there he developed his natural musical talents. He plays as a soloist in the most important theatres and concert halls in Italy and elsewhere in Europe. Recently, at the Ravenna Festival, he took part, together with soloists from the Wiener Philharmoniker, in a performance of Mendelssohn's octet. At the Teatro alla Scala, he played Haydn's “Sinfonia concertante”, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by the Maestro Riccardo Muti. He also played in a violin and piano duo. He regularly performs as first violinist in important European symphony orchestras and is regularly invited as a special guest teacher at the Tibor Varga school in Sion.
